I'm new to the snake-care world, just got a surprise opportunity to have a lovely 4 1/2 3 yr old female albino Sharp boa given to me with a tank and accessories. I'm loving it so far!
Meet Pink Floyd, named Floyd because she has a 'thumb' like a male boa would usually have.

I think that is a male, my female Sunglow is this size at 1 year old and this picture is a month old.

Where could I find out for sure? Is it possible she was mis-sexed by the breeder/shop her previous owner got her from?

just take her to youre local rep shop and they should be happy to sex him/her for you, best not to do it yourself untill you know what youre doing. AND YOU SAY YOU WERE GIVEN THIS?? lucky git!

Yep, I got really lucky! Just confirmed that HE'S a Sharp and a male. Boooo, females are expensive and I want to try breeding someday! Hopefully I can find a female for a decent price.
