I have a 4ft high viv with compost and gavel base , largish dip pool, loads of natural wood and plants, it has 100watt ceramic bulb plus 2ft uvb 5 and 11watt 6500k daylight spiral light. Trouble is lower levels are quite cool and i need some advice on lower level heating. Thanks for any advice.

can anybody recomend an alternative to heat mats, i have heard of heat tubes similar to the type used in greenhouses. I really need advice.

I'll like some advise on this too after the warm spell in the south ended my CWD tank is getting a bit too cool at night on the lower levels

a 12inch tube heater with guard should give a bit of ambient heat. I've got one in a 4ft viv but it's not enough for a basking spot, so it's being replaced... but they'll be fine for an extra boost.
