Just brought him home
He’s not exploring the tank much but keen to be with us
Given him 2 wax worms as a treat and he has clean water fruit and veg and Viv is lovely and warm
Is it normal for him to not want to explore straight away ?

Hi, can you say what the ambient (air) and basking surface temps are and how you measure them, plus the humidity range, also give details of the type and wattage of basking bulb/s and UVB?
I can`t see very well in the photo, what substrate are you using?

Is that a Rankins?
With all new lizards, leave them alone, let them settle. Can take a week or two there is no "standard" rule im afraid.
Feed, supply water, monitor temps...but let the dragon get usedd to its new home and dont handle it.

Once settled and more secure in its viv (you will be able to tell, as it will explore and sit out and bask etc without looking like its hesitant or ready to hide) then you can slowly look at introducing yourself to it and work towards handling. Dont force yourself on it, let it lead the process. Its about teaching it you arent a threat and it can trust you, so slow, small steps.
