hi all my first reptile is going to be baby bearded dragon but can i keep it on sand or is this not adviceble at a young age my local repetile outlet are keeping young dragons on sand but advice greatly appreciated caz

hiya,
sand is not advisable for young beardies, many people (including me) would never use sand, even if it was an adult.
the risk of impaction is too great, they could die from it so i don't take the risk myself. (i myself hate the sound it makes when it gets in the glass runners too!)
tile, lino, non-adhesive shelf liner, kitchen roll and newspaper make great alternatives!
