They're pkay for measuring surface temps, but not really too good for measuring the ambient temp, since they only pick up on surfaces.

We use them to test teh heat of plastic wleders at work and they're perfect for that.

Not too good for reptiles I don't think.

Possibly okay for testing basking areas or something, but they won't measure air temp.

Bought 4 the other day & i already had one, i've got glass thermometers in there aswell because i like to check the digital ones are correct but i've had absolutely no probs with them they hav a min/max thing so you can check the min & max temps from when yr not there.

Ive bought the TN2.. the one above the one you put the link for... I find it really good and accurate....
