ok guys, every where i read i get conflicting averages so whats the age of everyones leos?
i've read averages ages of 5 to 7 years (from a very experienced author supposedly?) and anything upto 30 years???
my male Mr T is about 12 or 13 years old now
I have a 17 year old male and a 2 year old female
My 17 year old was given to me by an old work colleague who's children had grown up and moved out while she was "stuck" with him.
I was glad to take him on, he's so friendly. Got a regenerated tail but is perfect to me.
Got him a 2 year old female a few months ago. They didn't get on at first; maybe she was incubated at "male" temperatures; she's definately a little girl though, they tolerate each other now.
Called them Buddy and Jewel, Buddy being the old man obviously!
i was told by my local rep shop(well pet shop)that a new book had come in with a breeder who had a leo 30yrs old, still alive and fed solely on mealies from day 1,i wouldnt think that was perfect conditions but it certainly worked for him, keeping my fingers crossed for eddie
