Well firstly I would lime to thank everyone who has helped answer all my questions from plants to bioactive substrate.
So a big thank you to you all.

Now down to business, I wont put pics of all the expanding foam, silicone and eco earth as by now im sure everyone knows what that looks like:lol2:.

Firstly this is what my exo looked like up until about 30 mins ago

And these are the plants Im going to use in it

There are Ficus, Broms, Polker Dot, Snakeskin,Goosefoot and Calathea.
Tomorrow I will put the pics of the foamed area once its set overnight.: victory:

Ok so this morning when I got up the expanding foam had dried and set, this is what it looked like.

It has 3 planting pockets 1 of which I made from slate (in the pic below) and 1 branch.
Might sound a bit empty but I have loads of cork bark tubes going in and I wanted to keep the foam off them incase I end up redoing the viv at another time.:2thumb:

Next up is the silicone and eco earth and its awful it stinks, is so sticky and messy, BUT its nearly done and will just need some touch ups tomorrow.

Thats it for today, be back tomorrow to finish the silicone and do the substrate with all my woodlice and springtails.: victory:

i always get impatient and end up planting after just a few hours but then dartfrogs silicone isnt very fummy

I have to try so hard to be patient. Even when using dartfrog silcone i try and wait 24 hours. its hell i just want to jump with in.

Well I finally got my viv finished tonight and I have to say Im pretty impressed with it.

First in went the leca, weed membrane and eco earth. Then all my cleaner bugs.

Thats looking really good, it's come out well. Just got to wait for the plants to grow in a bit.

The pink plant on the background looks awesome, and really adds some nice colour.

What lighting are you using?

Nothing yet im waiting on it comming it gonna be an exo10.0 until I can get a t5 and starter unit

A uv bulb does not give out light suitable for stimulating plant growth, though some 2% ones do. Some may surrive but most won't. You need a light that give out light at about 650mws.

Well Gill sent me out some replacement Ficus so here is my slightly re-arranged viv

And a couple of the little fella exploring

Looks like he is enjoying the new viv.

Looking really good, keep that ficus humid and it will cover everything. also dont be afraid if some laeves drop off, it will regrow.
