Do snakes always 100% of the time do this? Even if they haven't looked as though they are going to shed? My saharan sand boa has just shed even though she didn't look like she needed to or was going to do so. Should I be expecting eggs?

I've never bred sand boas, but every pre-lay shed I've had was just like a normal shed - cloudy for a few days then they shed.
Has she been mated?
It's probably a differant sequence with these though as they hang on to the eggs for most of the incubation period, and only lay a few days before hatching.

She has been in with a male, and they've been seen cuddled up together but as they're covered by aspen most of the time, its difficult to get an idea of whats going on. They're separate now, but I really didn't notice at all her eyes going cloudy or even her skin going milky.
