we are taking in an aggressive ranking dragon on tuesday, we need to get the viv ready first. Ive been ready up but there seems to be alot of contadictions on how they should be kept. so i have a couple of questions
1.what substate to use sand or other?
2.do they like to climb yes/no
3.at 18 months can she be tamed
4.what hight do i put the uv light

1. I use sand for my Adults, had no problems with it, if you crush up some cuttlefish on a tray they will tend to eat this and not the sand.

2. They like to perch themselves on top of the highest thing in there tank so they would appreciate a few wide branches.

3. Depends what you call agressive, ive never had one that has gone for me or tried to bite when handled and ive bred quite a few. I do have one though that since it was born (about 2 years ago) will allways display a threat posture (gape her mouth at me and flatten her body) but as soon as you pick her up she is fine, yet she still continues to do this after two years of her seeing me every day. :?

4. The closer to the light the better.
