Rankins are much smaller than bearded dragons, could be also considered a dwarf version maybe ....

Pogona Viticeps = Bearded Dragon
Pogona Henrylawsoni = Rankin Dragon

So realy there same in same family ...

also look very similer in appearance

Generally you can tell by the back patterning which is which (have a look through Google...) Rankins also look a little less spikey, and, as Reptilover said, stay a lot smaller than beardies.

Rankins are also about the size of a 4-5 month old beardie.
