Hello Everyone,

My name's Ben and I am an amateur herpetologist and naturalist. I work for a tour operator and we design new, unique and different experiences, hence our name, Different Tracks. Considering my background passions, I wanted the company to step away from the traditional African and Indian Big Game Safari options and begin offering new experiences to specialist groups of people on an Adventure Expedition basis.

I am a wildlife artist too and we have successfully begun Art Safaris to the remote Zambian bush, but now we are looking to offer some amazing Herpotofauna Expeditions in the wildest, most untouched reaches of the planet.

King Cobras, Crocodiles and Russel's Vipers in India, Egyptian Cobras and Saw-scaled Vipers in North Africa, Puff Adders, Rock Monitors and Black Mambas in Namibia, Botswanan Spitting Cobras, Pythons and Boomslangs or Lanceheads, Eyelash Palm Pitvipers and Bushmasters in the Amazon.

Whatever your 'must see' reptiles are, we will be working with local guides, herping professionals and wildlife film makers to track down the ultimate snakes, lizards, invertebrates and whatever else you may encounter.

Dates start in late 2008. Please contact me if you are interested in knowing more about the expeditions and destinations.

Thank you and look forward to seeing you in some far flung corner of the Earth.

Ben and Different Tracks

:lol2: its too hard to pic one destination, but the amazon would be amazing, and the venomous snakes in Africa are so varied that it would be great to go there as well, to see those snakes in the wild, that I only ever see in captivity would be fantastic.

All sounds fantastic, all my dream destinations... i chose africa...

But

If the company is promoting Venomous snakes etc...What would the insurance cost..?

saying that, all venomous snakes are extremly dangerous, so if somone recived a bite... would it come down on the travel company???

I think I would choose Africa out of those, as the added bonus of seeing game would be a huge thing for me, spending the many thousands I have no doubt these trips will cost, I would rather combine as many things as possible, rather than it be a reptile specialist trip myself, just because I am a big animal lover anyway, but having a game tour that also had a reptile specialist present and some specific herping days would be a huge bonus over the usual africa tours.

Great website though, some very nice looking holiday packages on there that might tempt me for next year.
