So my other half wouldn't let me get anymore snakes until I bought her a royal, she loves their cute and dumpy looks, and their general chill attitude. So around 3/4 weeks ago we became the owners of a cb15 hatchling. Problem is, he's a moody bugger!
We've let him settle in with a tea towel draped over the outside of his faunarium, just for extra privacy whilst he gets used to the scents and comings and goings around him. He accepts food no problem, and is happy to move around, explore and try to escape in general so I presume this indicates his husbandry is correct.
As soon as he is taken out though, he huffs and puffs and will readily take chunks out of my fingers I've also seen him strike at the walls of his tank in my general direction.
Wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this, or any tips to tame him down

Sounds like a typical baby snake of any species to be honest.
Regular handling will call him down.

Just throws me a bit, none of my others acted like this, even the supposedly defensive carpet, which has been tame as a puppy.
