Last week I posted about my little royal female Kit who ate 3 fuzzies as her first feed at my house 3 days after I got her. She has been blue since friday and has not shed yet. So in my feeding schedule and being a a bit dense I defrosted all the food I normally would and went upstairs to the study to feed the gang. Got there, remembered Kit was in shed and thought *doh*! Figured I could try her anyway and 2 fuzzies bit the dust!!! :2thumb: bonus!

A lot of snakes will feed in shed, however there are issues with it. The old skin is very tight making it difficult to accomodate the meal, also they neeb to be mobile to remove the old skin when they do shed. Both these things lead to an increased risk of regurge.

I have accidentally fed in shed when I have missed them blue over, and not had a problem, but its not soemthing I would do deliberately.
