most recommend the viv for bloods to be at least there length, cause being able to move and streatch out helps blood prevent developing respitory infections. so 4 to 6 foot for adult blood depending on size

What snakes grow the same size as a big royal?
If your question is "what snakes can I keep in tubs", then I'd say you need to a fair bit of research into species on the smaller end of the scale. Don't just buy something because it'll fit in a tub, buy what you want to keep, then house it appropriately.

I really want to keep a blood python but I really don't have the room so I'm trying to find a similar species

There's nothing Similar to a blood!

Here's some that suit smaller enclosures;
Dwarf boas
Rosey boas
Children's Python
Western hog nose
GTP
Garter
Certain carpet pythons
Bismarck
Rough green snake
Spotted pythons

only thing i can think of that is similar to a blood python. is half a burm.

dwarf burms are probly the nearist, but they don't get the girth.
but both require similar viv set ups.(both way to big for rubs)

Another vote for nothing like a blood, would love to keep one myself, their challenging personalty's intrigue me as much as their striking looks!

Female Royals can get to a nice chunky size though and they come in a range of colours! but you'll still want a 3/4 foot viv, you could find something smaller but more unusual? Hognoses have fantastic personalty and exhibit some very unusual behavior at times! They will also be more than happy in a large Rub.

Half a burm or a fat giant royal.

Black bloods are the smaller of the three (Curtus Curtus), but you'll still need a 5ft when fully grown.

Here's an idea, if you don't have the space to house another snake (appropriately), then just don't buy one.
