Hi all,

Which are the best make of probes to get, I would like to start off with a good set that will last me a lifetime.

Snakes I will use them on, after been shown how to do it are.

Hognoses Cornsnakes Royal Pythons and B R Boas.

I would think I need two sets?.

i got a great set of probes from my local pet shop (its herp specialist) not sure they even have a name! you get 6 probes from hatchling corn right up to adult burm size! all with ball tips. they were quite expensive at £30 but well worth it. will try and post pics soon to give you an idea of a good set

My set sounds identical to the above.. you need a good range of probes because if youre gong to keep them a long while you may end up with very different snakes to the ones you started with!

snakebreeder.co.uk offers a set. Not too sure about the quality etc. as I have never used them.

Try your local rep shops. If they are any good they shouldnt mind showing you how to do it and should be able to supervise you for your first few attempts.
