I am about to clean my vivarium out for my Young Leopard Gecko and was wondering if childrens playsand is suitable to use?

Any advice would be very much appreciated

You can use it, but there is a risk of impactation.
I would use tiles/paper as its so much safer.
Sand can get smelly, hold bacteria and is harder to clean. I find tiles so much easier as you can just wipe them over.

I started with sand, read the posts on here about impaction (and saw a picture of the results, its truly AWFUL) and went over to tiles, all within the space of a fortnight.

Please don't use sand, its not safe.
