:Na_Na_Na_Na:i am going to buy a pair of jammi boas shortly and wondered if anybody had any specific advice they could give me on them, as there really isn't a whole out there. do i treat them the same as any other boa species from that part of the world?

any advice at all would be great, as they are a very special animal to keep.

Jamaican boas are fairly straightforward to keep.

Pauline will probably give you relevant details about temperatures and cage set up etc.

One thing to bear in mind, though, is not to overfeed them.

Too much food will make them dangerously overweight, and will reduce their breeding chances.

What age are the ones you're buying?

There are husbandry and breeding guideslines on the Eaza site somewhere, they were written by Richard Gibson during his time at Durrell here in Jersey. I'll dig them out in a bit if no one beats me (got to get cycling to work now tho har har... :( )
