Hello,
I have owned a russian / horsefield tortoise for around a year and a half, but through no fault of her own, I want to find her a new home as when I got her, I wasn't aware of the commitment needed and how hard it can be to do a good job looking after a tortoise!
I am looking for someone experienced with tortoises to take her on, and I would give her away to a good home for free, with an enclosure too.
She is about 2-3 years old and is healthy, I would give a vets report to a future owner to prove this.
I really want someone who is experienced and I'm willing to give her away for free as although I don't want to keep her anymore, I want the best for her :)
If you're interested, (and in the UK!) please reply or contact me, and we can arrange something, I am okay to travel to transport her to you!
Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you can take on another little tortoise!

Prior to moving this to Rehoming - as presumably you are giving away the tortoise for free - whereabouts in the UK are you? This can then be added to the advert.

I know you have posted this on other sites, but do be very careful about offering animals for free. Sadly, it is not unknown for them to then re-appear fairly quickly for sale.

I too would ask the going rate as many will appear to be good homes but will simply sell the tort on, a good new owner shouldn't mind paying a reasonable amount for the tort.
