Hello, my springer spaniel mouth and eye area are starting to swell up and she seems to have diarrhoea. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on?. She is about seven years old. Sorry for the lack of information but if anyone can please hep that would be great. Please ask for any additional information.

You need to get her to a vet ASAP.The swelling could be due to an allergic reaction,don't feed her anything and make sure she is drinking plenty as having the runs will dehydrate her. Hope this helps you.

Thanks alot for your reply, she is going to a vet asap. We think it is due to a reaction with her madication. I will keep you updated.

Glad she's ok now,must have given you a bit of a fright.

Yes it was! My called me down and asked me if her eye looked a bit funny. I thought it just looked normal but then about 5 minutes later I was called down again, her jowls were completely swollen! The vet gave her some kind of anit-biotic and she was back on her feet.
