No they can tame down quite nicely.

I have one for sale, not your run of the mill, its an ornatus much nicer and very tame,

ps i spelt uromastyx with an A and not U as i am metal the other 6 days a week lol

There's quite a few different subspecies of uromastyx, all with slightly different care needs as they grow different sizes and come from different places.

If you want something that stays small I can recommend the Ocellated Uromastyx..

Where can you get them? Try local pet shops or classified ads.
