boo, ive been using vermiculite for my leopard geckos moist hide, i was wondering wether this was right to use or wether i should be using something else, if someone could help me with this i would be greatful as dont want my little baby getting ill.

You can pretty much use anything that holds moisture, so vermiculite, moss, paper towel. There are arguments for and against each, but they have very similar properties.

I use moss, but for no real reason...

ok thanks for that she seems to enjoy it, i change bout once a month and each time i do she has wonderful time kicking it all around in her box and making herself comfortable hehe

I use pearlite as my incubation meduim.
I use eco earth for my adult geckos moist hides and i use damp kitchen roll in upturned deli lidded pots with a door cut in for my hatchlings moist hide:2thumb:

i wouldnt use vermiculite just on the fact that i had 4 eating it...

I use shredded paper towels in my hides, the moss gets everywhere and so does vermiculite imo.
