Hi there i just wondered if anyone could tell me hat type of fish this is as the guy in Peter Barratts had no idea so let me have him for a fiver cheers
It's a talking catfish/spotted raphael catfish (Agamyxis pectinifrons)
They grow to around 6" in total length and needs lots of good places to hide
You can read more about them here;FishProfiles.com - Agamyxis pectinifrons
I had one of those, lovely little fella. Tip tho, NEVER use a fish net on them! always hands, they get so tangled up in nets its ridiculos and my mum killed mine when she cleaned them out (i was away and very angry) as he died of stress.
They also talk to each other when you have a few. Always found ours to be incredibly hardy, and I agree never to tough them their fins are like razors and they aren't afraid to use them, we always found a plastic food strainer was best as they couldn't get caught up in it.
thanx for all your help , i have him and also got 4 clown loaches in there and i swear at feeding times i can not hear the tv for the racket theu make lol
