I've got myself a decently sized glass Tank. 12" Deep, 12" High and 24" Long. The lid is a secure wooden frame with a very fine plastic mesh, it can't be moved from side to side but with enough force it could be lifted or the plastic mesh could be chewed through. The mesh provides very good ventilation so it'd be better for an invert who enjoys dryer humidities.

I already own a Heterometrus Scorpion, Hissing Cockroaches, Olive Millipedes, Firebelly Toads, and a Scolopendra Polymorpha. I've had Chalcosoma Atlas beetles in the past but got swarmed with flies around their fruit and jellies.

Any suggestions? Spiders and Tarantula's are a big no no unfortunately. I personally don't mind another pet that spends lots of time hiding, but the other members of the household want me to get something that can be seen occasionally.

Edit: I'm not limited to Inverts, but they tend to be my favorites.

Have you thought of a few Anthia sexmaculata AKA Domino Ground beetle ?

They are reasonably cheap, almost always out on show and are ferocious and fearless hunters that can and will take prey larger than themselves.
