Ok I know im asking alot asking the sex from this picture but Ive just ordered an albino male king from a shop which I should be getting in a few weeks and just seen this one online. The seller has allowed me to put up the piccies here as if its female I will be buying it. So what does everyone reckon?

I'd say male - the tail doesn't seem to taper quickly enough for a female.

But saying that, the snake seems a bit tensed up in the pic - have you got any others?

sex

normaly if you can count up about 7 to 9 scales from the vent, then the tail starts to taper you are more likely to have a male , as in the picture.

this is of course is not 100% but its a pretty good guide.

females start to taper at about 3 to 5 scales behind the vent.

Thanks for that guys.. i was thinking male but wasn't 100% sure as Ive only got one large snake who is possibly female.. from the look of it anyway. Thats a shame though as I need a female.

Looks male to me as well Tim the tail is pretty long and tapers down very well the female would have a much shorter tail vent to tip and it would also taper dramatically
