I was wondering if with a 100 watt slim white python ceramic heat lamp, would I need to use their lamp holder or can I use my current ceramic holder?

I would reccomend getting their holder as it'll be best protected from the heat.

If you think your holder can resist the that would come off a 100w ceramic, then you don't need to, but if you have doubts, I would get one.

As long as it's ceramic and not plastic I don't see why not as long as it's the same fitting and they fit inside your guard.

just looked at their website and their ceramic lamp holder just looks like a bog standard one with their logo on it.

As long as the fitting you have is ceramic, and rated to 100w or more, then whoever manufactured it, or the brand it carries, is irrelevant : victory:

As longs its a ES27 screw type ceramic holder you have it will hold any ceramic and is for anything over a 100w:no1:

Didn't want to fork out £11 for something I don't need but also didn't want to find out their ceramics were something special that would damage my set up in some way meaning I'd have to fork out even more money .
