Agreed.

Sorry don't mean to hijack your thread but... I've seen crushed nut shell sand like stuff in a couple of shops does anybody use this or know wether its good or bad etc?

The crushed english walnut shell is probably the worst substrate around. It is very sharp so if actually ingested, can tear up a lizards insides.

It also goes mouldy very easily (the walnutshell/corncob substrates) and that's no good for your reptile either.
