I have just read on the net that UV GUIDE UK have found that Repti-glo 10 can cause eye problems (photo-kerato-conjunctivitis) on beardies. Is the true and if so what tube should I use for my beardie

only time theyll cause problems if theres a fault photokerataconjuctivitis is cos of incorrect lighting for a beardie you better with an arcadia 12% d3+ they are stronger and last longer
I thought it was something to do with the compact ones that caused problems, but the strips were ok? I may well be wrong I'm sure someone will correct me!
I think I read the same in that the compact ones were focusing the "beam" to much. Sorry for the bad choice of word. Makes it sound like some secret CIA weapon that will burn your eyeballs out.
Just to add the cherry on top, I've deleted my browser history so I can't paste a link to the website :bash:.
I belive there 'was' a problem but it has been sorted now. At the time the only way it could of caused a problem was if the tube was in direct eye level contact with your beardeds which i doubt any of you will have. I think it was more of a problem with chams
But like i said i belive its all sorted now
ours is on a chain and we have 2 baby beardies. they spend a lot of time at the top of the viv. will this cause eye damage? hopefully they'll be too big to climb the background soon :lol2:
