As in like air freshener, or perfume?

I have perfume and suchlike on when I handle my snakes, but I never spray anything like air freshener in the same room as them, not because I know for certain it's bad for them... more because I don't know, and don't want to risk it. I'm pretty sure they don't have a diaphragm (can't cough, etc) so aerosols etc can't be good.

They are in my front room, so I have a bowl of pot pourri on the coffee table, and I murder my scatter cushions in Lenor once a week to keep the room smelling pretty : victory:

not 100% sure but i seem to recall there is an air freshner in the F10 range, have a look on big reptile world.

Looks alright for a rep room, wouldn't fancy using it Febreze-style on my soft furnishings :lol2: Anyone know if it's toxic to tarantulas? I'm guessing so, most things are!

I too also love my house smelling nice, esp with 2 house cats, makes me a bit paranoid about pet smells.

I've discovered Asda have really nice gel type air fresheners and at the moment I have the berry ones all over the house, except in the small lounge where my snakes/spiders are, but with me being in and out the room the smell from the air fresheners gets in the room.

I got an awesome plug in one from Asda the other day there Ailsa, its the "Spiced Apple" one, it's ace, living room smells all Christmasy to me! Got a "Clean Linen" one in the spare room & Vanilla one in mine, I love vanilla <3

With a boyfriend who's a complete fitness freak (Gym 3 times a week, Insanity workout program in the house & Muay thai too) and 8 year old daughter & fact we live surrounded by fields all contributes to the fast amount of plus ins I go through.

I've never found it causes any snakes I've had any problems though, I don't have em on full blast & I don't have them on all the time too, I put em on for a bit at a time, turn em off at bedtime ect

I do sometimes use plug in ones as well but since finding these (they're cheap at under a pound) I think I'll stick to them and they seem to last ages too, a lot longer than some other gel air fresheners I've used in the past, they also come in loads of different scents including the ones you said, only room which doesn't have one is my small lounge where my animals are, if I'm in there curled up watching a movie etc then I will sometimes light a little scented candle which doesn't seem to bother the animals.

I use scented candles too, they are placed higher than the vivs and as heat rises and then dissepates I presume the scent does too, so I don't worry about candles
