Hello everyone I was just wondering about some types of lizards that are active in their cages and are actually interesting to watch and will interact with the things in their cage. Preferably something that is diurnal since you can’t see nocturnal animals usually be active if they are. Any info is appreciated

It all depends on what you see as a pet. If you want something that tolerates handling this will probably be very different to a species that should be left alone.
Mourning geckos are definitely a hands off species due to their small size and speed. But a small colony in a good sized (very secure and escape proof) naturally set up bioactive viv are great. Lots of clicking, whistling and tail flicking between each other.
They are generally nocturnal but do venture out by day too.

If you have the space I’d suggest a Chinese Water Dragon. Mine is an active chap, in and out of his pool. Loves climbing and so on, sleeps at night and handles very well. For an adult you’ll need a decent sized enclosure, a pool (not a big water dish) and height for branches.
Mine feeds brilliant, hand feeds with no trouble as well.
