Copper for water dishes

Hello,

Lately I have been finding lots of mentions on different Youtube channels (yes, I know the opinion many of you have of reptiles youtubers) about the use of copper pieces in water dishes and also in water filters. I know that copper has antibacterial properties but I wonder how effective it would be for a water dish, have any of you experimented with it in your reptile set ups?
To achieve any antibacterial benefits from using copper it needs to be stored in copper containers for at least 48 hours, bit pointless when water dishes should ideally be changed daily.

Also if the water is sorted for too long a period, sat in copper pipes for example, you run the risk of copper toxicity.

I'm sticking to good ole water dishes and let YouTube's play around.
