After taking a 2 year break from keeping reptiles, I've finally decided to get into the hobby again! After considering my options, I've been debating between a corn snake, leopard gecko, or crested gecko. According to many people they are relatively easy to keep compared to other reptiles. The reason I want an easy-to-keep reptile is because I've only kept a crested gecko (when I was really young, I don't remember much) and a bearded dragon who sadly passed away in 2019. Apart from those two reptiles, I haven't kept any which would probably mark me as a beginner keeper; I don't want to overwhelm myself with a harder reptile.
I wanted your opinions on what I should keep! I am willing to provide everything the reptile needs, and I am willing to take any criticism for the reptile's health and welfare.
So, between corn snakes, leopard geckos, and crested geckos:
1. What you would recommend overall?
2. Pros and cons of keeping them from your experience?
3. Which is your personal favorite? Why?
4. Which one smells the most 😂? I am very intolerant of smell and have a very strong gag-reflex haha! I can definitely handle it but just wanted to know ahead of time!
