***I know there is mixed feeling here but as far as im aware no ongoing suffering has resulted from such hybridisations in the past. If someone knows of any such legitimate examples thats fine but please i dont want to be told simply 'thats wrong' because our views are just going to clash and it will be boring for everyone and you and me***

I have a beautiful carpet (Diamond x JJ sib) which i will be breeding at some point with a Jungle or JJ. I have also thought about the possibility of trying to pair him with a female GTP. Anyone actually tried this here?

The reasons for me looking into this is because i think they have to be one of the best examples of a true hybrid among the boids so far and basically i would love to produce some oneday : victory:.

I'm a fan of them. All the ethical/moral arguments against hybridisation per se are pretty weak so I wouldn't worry about that too much. In any case, there's a possibility that carpondros occur naturally, anyway.

BHB have got at least one, if you search on youtube for snakebytes.tv its in one of their videos, i think one called something along the lines "snakes we havent shown you yet" ill try and dig it out later

sorry if its not much help

There's a couple of breeders of them here in the UK and babies were up for sale a month or two back on one of the classifieds. They aren't common but they really aren't all that rare either, to be honest.

sorry to sound stupid... but what is a carpondro?
A cross between a carpet and a gtp (also known as a chondro). The opening post does explain that though, doesn't it?

They are pretty snakes i dont see why people have a problem cross breeding snakes its no different to what people do with dogs aslong as they dont do it stupid like a corn with a burm i dont see anything wrong with it
