Whats the longest you can leave a leopard gecko on its own, Is 3 days ok or is this too risky? I am away every weekend and have no one to look after it, no neighbours or anything.

When I go on holiday for say a week I will bring it in my local reptile store so thats no issue.

I check over my leopard gecko every morning, check for any poo or anything else that needs removing and change his water bowl every morning.
Every night he is right up against the window to say hello and I let him out nearly every night to interact with him / let him explore

Personally I think it is mean to only see to him 4 out of 7 days if its every week... I wouldnt even leave fish unattended for that long on a regular basis, a one off I would say it would be fine but not every single week :/

Reading over your post again and noticing you referring to your animal as "it", where as I refer to mine as "he", to me says it all. Just sayin

I leave mine alone for 3 months over winter...

You'll get mixed opinions as always but I think it's pretty simple:
  • They don't need cuddles.
  • They don't need feeding daily.
  • They don't need water daily(should always have access though).
  • You can use timers for heating and lighting.
  • They don't need out for exercise.
  • They don't need cleaning everyday.

These are listed as a 'beginner' species for a reason - they are bombproof, only a proper idiot can kill them with incorrect husbandry. Honestly you leave a healthy leo in a viv at average household temperatures for 6 months and when you come back it'll still be there. It's one of their biggest downfalls in my opinion and the reason many suffer.

It's not going to care one bit if you aren't there and it won't do any harm what so ever. Even leaving it for the week would be fine but I wouldn't advise it. If you are away Friday to Sunday then you're really only leaving it for one whole day. If it needs it you can feed it Friday before you leave and then again on Sunday evening/night. The water won't have vanished by Sunday either.
