I know this is an old thread but I was looking at the threads because I noticed my tortoise making a slight whistling noise today - I just had to respond as the statement "hermanns don't get RNS" is completely wrong and giving wrong. information like this is very dangerous!! My tortoise is a 13 years old hermanns and he had RNS when he was a lot younger. He was diagnosed at a very reputable reptile vet. Hermanns do and can get RNS!!
