Thats a good thing, its just that hatchling doesnt look honduran. Look forward to pics. Thanks, Dan
im not sure what you think a honduran looks like but does look like a honduran, mainly because it is one, it looks like every other honduran i have evr seen. the pic of the male is on here somewhere the female is not though, i will take a pic this weekend as i can get it on here quicker than sab6517.. its the 6 foot one on this thread.. unique honduran milk snake collection! pic heavy

In a wierd way im kind of glad it passed away because it must of been soo stressful for the poor snakes.

coooool hurry up with the pics!!!

I saw this two headed king in San Diego zoo - had been found locally so it is something that happens in the wild as well. The heads apparently try to compete for food so they apparently don't know they're in the same body. Must be stressful for them being unable to get away....

Personally if i had one I'd keep it but not breed from it - its one thing producing them by accident but wouldn't be fair to deliberately try to make more.

I used to have a kingsnake that looked very similar to the above...he was very bitey so I'm glad he only had 1 head! :lol2:

Theres a thing on the internet about a 2 headed snake living til it was 8 years old and dying of natural causes.

Two-Headed Snake Dies | LiveScience

sorry to hear your little one died!

Just read this fascinating thread, what a remarkable creature and what an amazing job keeping it so happy for so long.

I'm so sorry if this comes off as insensitive but I know a few collectors of natural history and curiosities (myself included) that would happily buy him/them (to have him/them professionally preserved).

If it's still in the freezer feel free to PM me. Hopefully this post has not come off too ghoulish.

Just followed this thread through, wow! what an amazing creature.....

Sorry for your loss.... but then what do you expect keeping 2 snakes in one viv? =P

Nah jokes aside though its a shame he died, its a shame that he wasnt born with shorter necks so they couldnt attack each other

Im sure they lived a good life while it lasted though ^_^

RIP!

Any news on an x-ray. I am very interested in learning how everything worked.

beat me too it. its dead now i beleive but it was the oldest 2 headed snake. i think the price is exsagerated. i saw my first 2 headed snake in the first reptile shop in manchester in 1982. it was a texas rat snake. as said before they dont live long at all but there are some that do get to adulthood. i think this depends on the head placement. i dont beleive its worth thousands because it would only be bought as a freak show type of pet, and lets face it, who would buy a snake for a couple of thousand that could very possibly die with in a couple of months?

just read the rest of the thread, really sorry for your loss mucka. but i have to say this is one of the best threads iv read in ages. top marks mate.
