Why does my bearded dragon try to climb up the side of her glass on the viv? is a 4x2x2 just a bamboo one side and a sand stone one side the hot side is around 97-99c cold side is around 74-76c she has just start to do this last week. she do come out to have a run on the floor in the day time but like now she been out and gone back in and is climb up the side of the glass up and down the viv.

Thanks Taz

Try covering the back and sides. Beardies don't really understand glass, they think because they can see in front of them that they can walk there too! Your temps are too low also, so covering the back and sides should help insulate the viv a bit. She may also be trying to find a warmer place. These reasons are why glass tanks are not really recommended. It is far better to house them in a wooden vivarium.

The basking spot needs to be 105-110f, hot end around 90 and cool end around 80.

if thats 'F; its still too low, as dickvansheepcake said the hot side should be 105-110f and cool side around 80f
maybe try adding some more things for her to explore in her viv? make it more interesting for her?

Ah right I see, sorry must have miss read about the glass! It may be the time of year then possibly. My female went through a bit of hyper phase a few weeks back, as did my male. They live separately so I think Spring was just in the air!

The temps are still too low though, I realised you meant f!

i agree with beardies not understanding glass, i actually have a glass viv and i find the temps are usually ok. one of my beardies does it on occations but i think its just a sign she's ready to get out and explore lol
she lets me know when shes ready to get back in by doing the same (climbing up the outside of the tank)

temp 110f for juveniles and can be around 95f for adults. time of year it might be then is just make her viv a mess and stick clean water in and food and with in 30mins food all over the place and water got sand in :)

Get that temperature up, 95F is bare minimum for digestion, 110F should be your basking spot.

'Glass Dancing' isn't uncommon, mine do it when watching me around the room and actively seeking food / attention.

I agree with this. I've watched mine from a position where he can't see me and he does it much less than when he can. He just wants to come out.
