The only way it could be too big is if it won't be able to find the food.

As long as you are sure that it will get fed ok then it will be fine.

Although it may look a little lost in a large Exo, lol.

mantids often hang from the top of their enclosure if it's mesh , either that or they'll spend a lot of time hanging and rarely touch the bottom substrate, as long as there's ample hanging space to moult (three times the height of the mantis minimum) and a few perches it should be fine.
as long as it can catch food there shouldnt be anything wrong with using it, if it's too big you can always setion off one side with something.

30cm is more than enough for a Tenodera :2thumb:

 

ok cool thanks ill be sticking to these sized mantis orchids etc in future so all good ill get the 30by30by30 cheaper then

 

Aren't the airholes too large for the flies ? Wondering if the flies wouldn't all escape ..

 

im not feeding him flies there to small and curley wings are just to hard to keep - i give him crickets locusts and moths
