Hi all, I'm a new Golden tree frog owner. I've had Goldie for a few days now. Anyway, I've noticed he doesn't eat much and spends a lot of the time on the glass near the top of the terrarium and not often comes down to the ground to eat his crickets. Is this normal? He's eaten about 2 crickets since I've had him. They are black crickets because they didn't have normal crickets in the shop but getting normal ones today. The heat in the tank is 24 degrees Celsius and humidity is 85%. Is that ok? I'm getting a 100 watt heat bulb today also to make the tank a little warmer.

Any suggestions on what I could do please?

Here ye go, Cheryl; Read This. It's as good a primer on ye frog as any.

Do note, particularly, that it's a nocturnal sort. So, ye may not actually see it doing much, by day, or bright artificial light. It'll probably appreciate a vertical piece of bark or somewhere too, where it can get itself under and out of sight and feel secure in the day time.

Keep in mind that not only is this frog new to it's new home, but it's also nocturnal. You won't see a lot of action happening during the day, and maybe for a few more days there will be less eating than normal.

As for heat and humidity, 24 is a little on the cooler end of their temperature spectrum. While these guys should have 24 up to 29 degrees C, 26-27 C is a better day time temperature with 24 being best for night.
Your humidity levels are perfect though.
