Hi folks. After Stanislav's recent health problems (parasites, wasn't growing, retaining shed) I've upped the temp and humidity in his viv (as per advice on here), he's had his meds from the vet and is like a different lizard! He's 6months old and had been 60g since I got him in November, in the 10 days since his antibiotics, he's put on 20g! :O :O :O :O However he's now much more skittish - possibly as he has more energy? He's eating well, although yesterday and today he's eaten slightly less. What's slightly concerning me is that his poos are quite lovely, but there is little or no urate (ie the white stuff) but instead is weeing before he poos - it doesn't smell, just comes out like.....well......like he's doing a wee! I was under the impression that reptiles produce urate rather than urine to preserve water in hot / dry climates, so is this just an indication that he has plenty of water? Or is there something up? I'm scratching my head on this one. Cheers for your helps folks :) :) :)

Thanks to both of you for replying, I've emailed the person you said Mahender who's name I can't pronounce! :p I'll give my vet a quick call too though. Many thanks, and hopefully someone else on here might know the answer! :)

Thanks Mahender, that's all really interesting stuff :) It really all does come down to poo doesn't it?! :) Stan's new UV bulb arrived last night, not that he seems in the slightest bit interested! :p I'll keep the forum posted on his progress - I'm so proud! :) :flrt:
