Both are very pretty but i suppose it depends on what you want the snake for. if you want something beautiful that is out all the time and have money to burn then green trees are cool. If you want something a little more handleable and arguably even prettier then rainbows are great. out of the two i have only had experience with rainbows but can recommend them highly.
I would take a look at the species you have kept in the past and see what you liked with each and what you found that you didn't. But in the end get what interests and suits you.
I agree with you I need to look into them both I have looked into green tree pythons but when I was in my local reptile shop I see a rainbow boa and it really caught my eye was looking for advice from people who have owned them or both if you know what I mean
Thanks bigd1 I really don't know what to do I know that they are more of a display animal and should be handled minimal due to their spines and the way the sit but when I've been watching videos on YouTube about care a lot of people get them out which I was suprised at I love handling snakes so maybe a Brazilian boa might be the way for me to go I will have to look into them more but there's something about the green tree pythons that whenever I see them it just reminds me of how nice they look and how much I want one! Lol
if your looking for sum think that will be out on display but you can get out and handle have a look at carpondros my will sit out on display 90% of the time and is nice to handle here a pic of my one
Hi Op, if you are interested I know of someone Selling two beautiful Rainbows, around two year olds I would guess. If you are interested let me know, they are in Liverpool.
carpets are a nice alternative to GTP's and Rainbows, they make beautiful display animals like GTP's, but can be handled more easily without them trying to rip your face off the way GTP's are inclined to...but they are a bit more temperamental than rainbows, but if you already know what you are letting yourself in for with a GTP, then a carpet shouldnt be much of a problem
