He's terrified and freezing atm, I'll give it an hour or so and check if he's okay. It's just if he fell from the top of the stairs, through the banister, he could have easily broken legs, thought he was squirming well when my mum picked him up.

Someone a while ago had lost their Leo too and she had wood floor and they used flour to trace the Leo.
Try placing a tub down with food in that when she gets in she not get out
Yep that was me :lol2:

If you have a wooden floor Flour will help you locate your gecko, but catching is another thing..... I had to wait nearly 4 weeks before we caught sight of her and managed to catch her and she was in the one place I wasnt able to look. I pulled everything out in the kitchen but I was unable to pull the ashing machine out, and one night..... she poked her head out from under the washing machine......

Put some mealies down, Heat mat and a hide, hopefully he/she will use it, the will be somewhere warm and dark..... If you have an exo terra, place it on the floor with some food in, leave the doors open and put a teatowel for him/her to climb in and leave the heatmat on hopefully he/she will not only find the smells familiar but she may stay in there if it is dark and warm and has food...... could do the same with a wooden viv too I guess. The only problem I found with this is my gecko would go in have a munch, climb around then climb back out .

Just bare in mind, some people find there escapees in hours, some days, some weeks, some months even years (heard of someone found there when moving house 6 years after losing their gecko).

I really hope you find him/her soon, if i can advise my methods or help at all PM me.

Congrats on finding him, we recently had a 24hr old leo hatchling esacpe and after taking the room to pieces thought it must be long gone being it was only about 1inch long and could have been in the tiniest of gaps. Next day we moved The big viv stack to put a new stat in and there she was peeping out from under the vivs, absolutely fine. Took us ages to catch it though, they're fast when they're that tiny :devil:

id leave him for a couple of hours really then check him over, must be quite a big thing for him. i wouldnt be too worried about broken legs though, im pretty sure a leo could handle a set of stairs, and they do have a sense of height.

give him a good meal tonight, he'll be happy :lol2:
