Well horsfields need completely different requirements to redfoots.
Horsfields need a dry enclosure, with plants such as dwarf *****, mallows, iceplant, dandelions, sowthistle and plantains.
Redfoots need a humid area, with many of the same sort of plants as horsfields but more moist. They also need some sort of protein input too.

your not going to get those at B&Q this time of year dude. Trust me ive spent 2 weeks trying everywhere.

Goto the TT trust winter guide (the thread on here weeds for feeding, sticky at top of page) has a link. They have plants that i KNOW i have seen in B&Q and have now got some myself from there, just need to be careful and make sure you thoroughly wash them so they become free of the chemicals they may have been treated with within the store prior to being sold.

 

As has been said, you wont pick these plants up at b%q or homebase this time of the year. You might at a good garden center or nursery. But they should have them in early Spring before tortoises come out of hibernation, or are ready to go into the garden. So you have plenty of time to work out what you need: victory:

 

you wont get them from ANYWHERE lol. ive tried 6 different centres, and B&Q, no go Struggle to get the right seed mix. For seeds id just say hit swsarah up you aint really going to vget any more convinient for such a good price.

Like i said, look at the winter feeding guide (illustrated weed guide or something) its linked on the sticky at top of page. They've got flowers yo will still buy from B&Q etc. you can try and plant them.

Saying that, you can get the non-flowering bluebell plants. I got mine from Notcutts and have thrown one of them into my table (you can see it in a corner on my piccy's.

i have some Pelargonium in my garden would it be okay to replant this in the table ?
Has anyone been able to get ahold of any plants recently for their torts??

Pelagonians are toxic for tortoises so not really good.
You could try some ornamental grasses, as they like to dig into them.

Hi everyone
I am also the new owner of a red foot (henry).
I am currently trying to introduce Henry to weeds IE dandelion and docking leaves. Henry doesnt seem very taken by this as his diet is currently courgette, cabbage, apple etc. I am going to continue with this to aquaint his palate to this. I bought some edible tortoise plants and seeds (dandeion and weed), from e-bay via a tortoise breeder that also sells the above.
I like you bathe Henry every evening although he just stands there or tries to get out :lol2: but i leave him for a good couple of minutes.
I bought a big plastic container of about 4ft long and 2ft deep and i currently put Henry in there to graze on his plants and growing seeds for a couple of hours each evening.
1 red foot tortoise
1 bearded dragon
1 boxer dog.
