sleeping with snakes

Why would you want to sleep with a snake anyway? What are either of you going to get out of it? Why would mr snake want to be out of its nice, temperature controlled viv and in bed with some weirdo who gets a kick out of it?

:lol2:..Your asking me if i sleep with my snake??..I cant possibly answer that!!
I do however sleep with a whole roomfull of snakes in their vivs....very noisy at night, i can tell you!!!

I keep my snakes in my room, and one escapee, an adult corn, woke me up by coming into my bed and going across my legs!

Because I didnt properly wake up, I didn't know what was going on, but in the morning I opened my eyes and she was going along the wall so I just picked her up and put her back in her viv lol.

HAHAHA Every now and then this forum springs up something so randomly stupid you just got to laugh!!

Come on lets get some more pics up of you all sleeping with your snakes :lol2:. WTF?

Hmmm, I dont know which one to sleep with tonight so I may just sleep with them all - I hope one doesnt size me up :whistling2:.

OMG DONT ive heard a few stories of snakes likin to do that and there sizing u up to see if they can eat u !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put it back dont take it out and do some reacherch to find out if it is sizing u up !!!

I wouldn't bring a snake to sleep in the bed with me

Mainly because during the night the snake would go roaming and find a nice hiding spot and it could be weeks before I found it again


The only time I brought a snake into the bed anyway, it was in a pillowcase.
I place it at the bottom of the bed under the duvet by my feet with a hot-water bottle because there was an electricity cut and it needed to stay warm, but other than that, no way


I took an iguana into the bed with me once because I was too lazy to bring it downstairs to its viv
It shat in the bed within five minutes and was brought back to its tank

The "sizing up" story is an urban legend, just like "The Hook" or "High Beams".

Snakes quite simply cannot think far enough ahead to "size someone up" by stretching out next to them, and a snake that stops eating isn't going to grow big enough to eat a human, either. Snakes are pretty simple - a big snake MIGHT kill a human that's sleeping in the room if it's hungry at the time and it's not contained, but it sure doesn't have the forethought to think "I'm only eight feet long, I'll need to be at least twelve feet long before I can swallow his arm."

Could have been remember Reading or seeing something about that. X number of snakes over x number of days to the record.must be a picture of that somewhere?

god help us is bad enough having to share a bed with the OH, a cat and sometimes a flippin big dog...a snake!!! no way!

The dog would sit on it, the cat might chase it and the OH would deafen it with his snores!

Was handling a friends BRB in the chair one day and I fell asleep. It was in the front of the hoodie pocket I was wearing, and sort of looked like it fell asleep as well. Juat sort of lolled it's head out of the side of the pocket lol.

My friend and my other half just laughed at me and took pictures.

Oh my god what are you like? Sleepin in the bed gross no thanks. Its bad enough havin vivs in the bedroom lol! What if it poo'ed? The yanks are always gettin killed by big snakes loose in thier room, take notice and dont b as stupid as them!!!
