Discovered my tortoise eating ivy this morning. Will it harm her, I've pulled it all out from her enclosure. I've never seen her eat it before, there is only a little bit that grows through the hedge bordering her enclosure.
Discovered my tortoise eating ivy this morning. Will it harm her, I've pulled it all out from her enclosure. I've never seen her eat it before, there is only a little bit that grows through the hedge bordering her enclosure.
If its only a little bit, then probably things are fine.
If things were not fine, your tortoise could foam from the mouth, regurgitate, or act like its having halousinations (sp) This is what would happen if a tortoise has eaten something poisonous.
You have done the right thing by removing the ivy.
