I watch this occasionally but I can't keep up with all the different reptiles on the show , my main interest are the snakes - apart from the scantily clad women :) - but I'm not well up on Aussie snakes apart from Womas .

Anybody else watching ??

What were the big black ones ?

Think the ones in the box that Helen stuck her head in were Bredli's pythons.

I watched it a few years ago and I was suprised they use capret pythons, I know its in Australia but the carpets are known to be a bit nippy and when that snake latched onto shaun ryders hand I thought they would have got rid of them and started bringing in royals or something

I saw carpet pythons on Saturdays' show, they were actually treated alright. They were in a box which Helen had to put her head into - she was told specifically not to make any sudden movements, scream (probably due to vibrations) or pull her head out. Once she had done the task a snake handler came in and gently removed the snakes before she pulled her head out. Now, they are not as 'gentle' with the inverts, and I know people complain about that, but really, most of us feed livefoods to our lizards and stand on house spiders - it's no different! Up to now the small lizards and the snakes have been treated ok I think. Didn't like to see the croc with it's mouth duct taped up though, they could have just done without a croc at all if they were going to do that...

It is different. They are still a live animal and deserve to be treated with respect. I keeep inverts both as food and pets and all are treated the same in respect to husbandry and handling, (although the food gets a worse deal at meal times) just wish the spineless useless has beens would bog off.

I don't think the ones in the box that Helen put her head in we're Bredli, too light and too small. I am guessing more likely to be Stimpsons Pythons

The ones in the Vending machine were possible Macklots, it was hard to tell as there was not a lot on view

The box on her head from Saturday night? Looked a LOT like young carpet variations of some sort to me, but I don't keep morelia.

They're almost all are morelia of some kind, they are in Australia afterall. I saw an olive python at some point though.

You'd think that, but they had a corn snake wrapped around a postbox on the trailer, and a royal python on the starting credits :lol2:

i saw a few seconds of this as i was helping to tune my girlfriend's tv as she has just moved... sure there was a bredli, for a second, in a clip... then it showed the box and they were children's/spotted/stimson's. i didn't see her put her head in the box as we had established the tv was tuned in that channel ok.

poor poor snakes
