I saw carpet pythons on Saturdays' show, they were actually treated alright. They were in a box which Helen had to put her head into - she was told specifically not to make any sudden movements, scream (probably due to vibrations) or pull her head out. Once she had done the task a snake handler came in and gently removed the snakes before she pulled her head out. Now, they are not as 'gentle' with the inverts, and I know people complain about that, but really, most of us feed livefoods to our lizards and stand on house spiders - it's no different! Up to now the small lizards and the snakes have been treated ok I think. Didn't like to see the croc with it's mouth duct taped up though, they could have just done without a croc at all if they were going to do that...
