Bioactive Hognose Setup help?

I recently (2 days ago) acquired my first snake, a female wildtype Western Hognose named Dirge. She's a little sweetie and I want her to have the best life.

I was already thinking of switching to a Bioactive setup for my Blue Tongue Skink, Jörmungandr, but he's from Indonesia and as such it's a lot easier to plan a natural-ish environment. Hognoses are Central American desert animals, and I have no idea how to approach that. What kind of substrate would be best? What plants? Can springtails and Isopods live in desert vivs?

Also, since snakes like wooden vivariums, can anyone recommend a front opening wooden viv with enough depth for substrate?
